1000 years ago was a time of peace and prosperity for humans. It was a time known as the Silver Millennium. The ruler of the universe was Queen Serenity and she ruled from the Moon Kingdom located on, you guessed it, the Moon! From this Moon Kingdom she ruled all of the planets ( Mars, Venus, etc. ) The only real threat at the time was the mirror of this universe known as the Negaverse. This was a universe of deceit, torment, hatred and evil. It was just a really horrible place. Its ruler was an evil woman named Queen Beryl. At the center of this Negaverse was the Negaforce. Her plan was to take over the Universe using this Negaforce to win the battle that would inevitably take place.

Queen Beryl, seizing the opportunity of a Lunar eclipse, led the Negaverse army on an attack upon the Moon Kingdom. The Negaverse won, as the Moon Kingdom's army was no match for the powerful Negaverse army. Four princesses from Planets of the Moon Kingdom attempted to overcome the Negaverse army, but this attempt proved to be futile. The casualties of this war were rather heavy; Amongst them were the Moon Princess, Queen Serenity's only daughter, and The Earth Prince, Darien.

After the initial battle the Negaverse claimed victory. Queen Serenity knew that the Negaverse could not be allowed to rule the universe, so using the Imperium Silver Crystal she sent herself, the Negaverse army, and the Negaforce back into the Negaverse. Before she sacrificed her life, the Queen sent her daughter and all of the planet princesses 1000 years into the future. Now they must seek each other out and fight off the Negaverse's attempts to find the Imperium Silver Crystal so that they may once again use the NegaforcIntroduction to the "Sailor Moon Series"

Introduction to "Sailor Moon" Series

Sailor Moon is about an ordinary, klutzy, crybaby, 14 year old junior high school girl who receives a special quest from a talking cat named Luna to fight evil and find someone called the "Moon Princess". She accomplishes all this by transforming into the sailor suited "pretty soldier" Sailor Moon. Over time, she discovers other Sailor Scouts/Senshi and another cat Artemis who join her as a team.

She also runs into this cute guy named Mamoru/Darien and this caped hero Tuxedo Kamen/Tuxedo Mask. Coincidentally enough, they happen to be one and the same. Tuxedo Kamen/Tuxedo Mask reappears constantly to save the Sailor Senshi/Scouts from the generals of the Dark Kingdom/Negaverse who, at first, begin stealing life energy out of people, then attempt to acquire the ginzuishou/Imperium Silver Crystal. Then Sailor Moon learns about the Silver Millenium/Moon Kingdom.

The Moon Kingdom was what existed a thousand years ago when the universe was at peace. It was ruled by Queen Serenity, until the evil forces from the Dark Kingdom/Negaverse decided to try and take over. Queen Serenity was able to repel the invasion, but only by sacrificing herself and sending all of her court and the ginzuishou/Imperium Silver Crystal to the future on Earth.

Now, all this ties into the plot because Sailor Moon a.k.a. Usagi/Serena just *happens* to be a reincarnation of the Moon Princess, Princess Serenity/Princess Serena in addition to just being Sailor Moon. It also turns out that the Sailor Senshi/Scouts are reincarnations of the guardians of the Moon Kingdom, and that Mamoru/Darien is a reincarnation of Prince Endymion/Prince Darien, who was to marry Princess Serenity/Princess Serena. This adds a bit of romance to the series, but in the end, the Sailor Senshi/Scouts and Tuxedo Kamen/Tuxedo Mask are able to use the ginzuishou/Imperium Silver Crystal to *annhilate* the Dark Kingdom/Negaverse, but at the cost of their own lives.

Note: In the DIC translation, no one dies. Everyone just has their memories erased. Reportedly, the original makers of the series weren't sure if they were going to do a second season, and so they wanted to potentially end off the series with a bang. The way this works in the original is that the Sailor Senshi die, but their alter-ego secret identities live on to have a chance at a normal life.

Introduction to the Sailor Moon R series

Anyhow, the next season of the show starts, and everyone gets their memories restored, except for Darien/Mamoru (to the annoyance of Usagi/Serena). Two aliens, Alan/Ail and Ann arrive on Earth and start stealing people's life energy for a tree called "Doom Tree." At the end of the saga we find out Moonlight Knight (Who is Darien) is the split personality of Darien because he didn't get his memory back Moonlight Knight was sent to help Sailor Moon. Serena revives the Doom Tree by using her crystal and alls well.

Just when things start to get comfortable, all of a sudden a strange kid who looks an awful lot like Usagi/Serena falls out of the sky with a quest to find her mother and the ginzuishou/Imperium Silver Crystal. She's Chibi Usa/Rini, and she's from the future, but she didn't come alone. She's followed by some agents of the Black Moon/Negaverse(again!), namely Rubeus, and the four weird sisters, Cooan/Catsy, Beruche/Berti, Petz/Avery, and Karaberas/Prisma. In an interesting change from the usual, the Sailor Senshi/Scouts were able to heal the sisters of their evil rather than just kill them like usual. e to try and conquer the Universe.

These biographies are on the scouts you see in the American episodes. In the last one they show, you technically see Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, but the episode doesn't say that. You find out who they are in the episode after that which is not shown in the U.S. Also, the powers are list in the American fashion (IE-American-Mercury Bubbles Blast, Original-Mercury Bubble Spray and American-Venus Love Chain Encircle, Original-Venus Love Me Chain)

Sailor Moon---Serena

Serena is definitely not who you would expect to be the leader of the Sailor Scouts. She's a little clumsy, lazy, carefree, and definitely more interested in games, and dreaming about boys (like the dashing Tuxedo Mask), than fighting evil. But Serena is very loyal to her friends, and will do anything to help them. Like Sailor Venus, Serena has a special guardian as well -- a talking cat named Luna. As Sailor Moon, she is a reluctant hero, and doesn't totally understand her powers.
Using her locket, and saying "Moon Prism Power", Serena transforms into Sailor Moon. She has a lot of special powers to use fighting evil. Using her moon tiara and saying "Moon Tiara Magic", Sailor Moon can transform evil creatures into moon dust. She is also able to use her Luna Pen to disguise herself to infiltrate the enemy.

Sailor Mercury---AmiAmy is one of the smartest students in her school. She's also very sweet, and a little shy at times. She is very studious. When Amy first transfers to the school, she has a little trouble fitting in, but she and Serena become fast friends. She discovers she is Sailor Mercury when Luna gives her a transformation pen.

To transform into Sailor Mercury, Amy uses her transformation pen and says "Mercury Power". One of her attacks is blinding bubbles which form a mist to confuse the enemy when she says "Mercury Bubbles Blast". She also has a mini-computer (that's designed as a calculator) and special scanning goggles that allow her to see things you can't see with the naked eye.

Sailor Mars---Raye
Raye is a friend of Serena's. She is a passionate teenage girl who has a crush on Serena's friend, Darien. She thinks a lot of her friends, but can be very critical at times, and thinks Serena is a bit too much of a bubble head to be leading the scouts. Raye lives in a temple with her grandfather.
When Raye uses her Transformation Stick (a special mystical pen with her symbol on it) and says "Mars Power!" she becomes Sailor Mars. As Sailor Mars, Raye controls the element of fire. Her main form of attack uses this element. She places her hands together, points them at her target, and a stream of fireballs come out of her index fingers as she says "Mars Fire Ignite!". Sailor Mars also has an ancient Japanese scroll which can neutralize Beryl's evil creatures.

Sailor Venus---Mina

Before joining the Sailor Scouts, Mina was called "Sailor V" and fought crime. There were movies and comics about her, and as "Sailor V" she was Serena's idol. Mina is nice and easy to get along with. She quickly made friends with the other scouts, but she goes to a different school. Mina's dream is to become a singer. She likes spending time with Serena, and especially loves her constant flattery.

Just like Sailor Moon, Venus also has a magical guardian, a talking white cat named Artemis. Her special weapon is a powerful beam of energy formed in two crescent moons.

She's a bit of a tomboy, but still gets constant crushes on boys, and loves cooking. She's also a student leader and an accomplished athlete.

Lita discovers her powers as Sailor Jupiter in a fight against Zoycite. By saying "Jupiter Power" and using her transformation pen, Lita becomes Sailor Jupiter. One of her attacks is a lightning bolt that she sends at her enemy. The lightning forms when she uses the crystal in her tiara and says "Supreme Thunder Crash".

Sailor Pluto
Sailor Pluto , or Setsuna Meiou is my favourite sailor scout of the Japanese animated TV show Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. I've decided to put more information on her her because: 1)She's my favorite (duh), and 2)It is harder to find information on her than on the others listed here. She has long green hair (guess what my favourite colour is) and only Sailor Uranus is taller. It was no contest.

Unfortunately, she appears less often than any other sailor scout, with the possible exception of Sailor Saturn. In the Sailor Moon R she's just the "mysterious Sailor Pluto" that gave Chibi Usa the ability go back in time. It's not until Sailor Moon S that her identity on earth is revealed and she takes on more significant role. So far Sailor Moon S has been the best series and not suprisingly I think Sailor Pluto has one of the best roles in it. She's torn between joining the other two outer senshi in destroying Sailor Saturn before she destroys the world and believing that Sailor Saturn is innocent and doesn't deserve to die, as their mutual friend Chibi Usa insists. And in the end... well I won't spoil it for you if you haven't seen the series yet.

For a while there it was looking like that would be last we'd see of Sailor Pluto, she doesn't appear at all in Sailor Moon SuperS, although she does appear in both the Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon SuperS movies. Even Haruka and Michiru, show up for one espisode in the series. Considering SS is the worst of the series so far, this may not be too bad of a thing. However, she returns to the TV series again in the latest season of Sailor Moon, Sailor Stars. What an entrance too, appearing out of nowhere carrying baby Hotaru, she whispers her "dead scream" attack and rescues Sailors Uranus and Neptune from attacking crystal monsters. Unfortunately she only makes irregular appearances through out the rest of the series.

No, I'm not going to give the usual list of statistics for Sailor Pluto. Things like her blood type (A) or her favourite food (eggplant) have little or nothing to with her role the TV series. (One would expect someone who's good at sewing, wants to be a designer when she grows up and likes to shop would not wear the same outfit day after day.) If you're curious about this information anyways, check out either Hitoshi Doi's character description or one of the other Sailor Pluto info pages listed below.

Now there's one bit trivia that I've been almost able figure out from watching the show, her aura colour. The sailor scout's auras have become visible a number times thoughout the Sailor Moon series, but it's not until Stars that Pluto's appears. It had seemed pretty obvious the her colour was dark red, as it's her favourite colour, and her jewellrey, even her talisman, the garnet orb, are this colour. When the nine senshi (all but Sailor Moon) "Sailor Teleport" in episode 170, Sailor Pluto's aura is revealed. Unfortunately VHS does nasty things to colour, and it looked to me more white than anything else. However a wide streak of colour appeared briefly behind each scout and Pluto's was deep blue, maybe even dark purple (indigo?). Later in episode 172 when they confront Queen Neherenia and the jewels on their tiaras glow brightly, each apparently according to the senshi's colour. Sailor Pluto's glows purple, almost the same colour as Sailor Saturn's.
